Title: Origin
Author: Jennifer L Armentrout
My rating: 5 stars
Jennifer Armentrout’s world of the
Luxen is absolutely entrancing, thrilling and beatific. The characters, and
stories she creates are amazing, and I can easily say that she is one of the
best authors of today.
Anyway, back to the delicious and heart
wrenching saga of Daemon and Kitten. After waiting for almost a whole year for
Origin, to say that I was excited would be the understatement of the decade. I
still shudder at the torturous cliff-hanger of Opal, but let me say that the
wait was worth every sentence, comma and mesmerising dialogue of this book. And
the best part? It was Daemon’s + Kat’s perspective. Yes, that’s right; we got
to read half of the book from Daemon Black’s perspective and the other half
from Katy’s. Tears of joy streamed down my face at the mere thought of this and
when I started reading it? Let’s just say that I have most of the book
memorised, owing to the number of times I delightedly reread it.
I don’t want to spoil the book; it’s
just too good. All that I can say is
this:
-Daemon and Kat have an adorable
reunion
-New species of the Lux will arise
-Kat and Daemon find many allies;
and among them is Luc
-There is massive betrayal, deaths,
a marriage and a baby (on the way)!
There is so much more in the book;
fangirl-worthy references and scenes, more teary reunions and last but not
least; Daemon has a namesake! So look out for someone called DB and have fun
reading the books.
PS. There is another cliff-hanger
at the end. Sigh. But I know that we can make it to 2014 and in the meantime,
reminisce and reread the previous books as well as Obsession, the spin-off of the Lux series.
OMG! I LUV DAEMON
ReplyDelete& KAT TOO!
